Lightning?!

New at this, but I managed to catch some lightning from my window in Baltimore - if I had a car, I'd drive out of the city and try to capture all the nifty forks of lightning, but its a start!

Fun with the 105 mm G Nikkor Micro. The DOF on this bad boy is ridiculous! Still learning how to get the focusing just right when aperture is at 2.8 at 1:1 magnification.

Wrong turn Photo Op

On the way to Denver, I gave Liz the wrong directions by accident. What we saw surprised us - amazing colors illuminating the skies - some of the neatest I've seen. I'm having trouble depicting it through a photo but it looked something like this:
